MEET WHO'S LEADING OUR FUTURE
Meet SuLynn Daugherty - New Special Events Manager
SuLynn returns to BGC San Dieguito as the Special Events Manager after a 9 year “sabbatical” raising her 2 boys Chase & Connor. (Who now attend the Harper Branch regularly.) During that time, SuLynn stayed involved in the San Diego philanthropic community with her involvement in several non-profits such as the Scott & BR Great Friends Foundation and the National Foundation for Autism Research.
“It’s good to come home” Daugherty says. “Although I am familiar with the landscape of the San Diego philanthropic community and BGC San Dieguito, things have changed – all for the good from what I can see. I look forward to working in a new and revitalized environment but with people who I already know and have much respect for!”
CLUB ALUM HIGHLIGHT
Fatema Qassimyar, Club Alumni
The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito has been serving youth in our community since 1966. The youth that we've served then, are now functioning adults in our community and we'd love to reconnect with those past club members and grow our Club Alum family. Our first to join our Club Alum family is Fatema Qassimyar, a former member of our El Camino Real Learning Center, a past outreach site and our 2004 Youth of the Year.
FROM THE CEO'S DESK
Engagement and Collaboration: Vital Concepts for Success
As a customer-oriented organization, we at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito are required to evolve often in order to meet the needs of those we serve. Whether it be the more than 20,000 youth and families we serve annually, donor base that supports us, and/or the communities that we operate in, we must be attentive to their needs, not just satisfy ours.
In order to meet the needs of others, especially those most in need, we must implement increased engagement and collaboration between employees and stakeholders across the organization and within the Boys & Girls Club movement to keep our brand healthy, relevant, and poised for success.
